We are thrilled to officially announce the birth of Ethereal Projector, a new sub-label of Chitra Records based in Washington, D.C.
Ethereal Projector is an independent record label and a safe haven for deep, experimental sound. We release exclusively atmospheric, conceptual, and non-commercial music, completely bypassing mainstream pop culture or dance trends.
Our focus is exploring space, texture, rythms and emotions through a curated spectrum of non-mainstream genres. By blurring the lines between electronic production, raw acoustics, noise, jazz, field recordings, etc. We provide artists with absolute creative freedom.

Our musical universe spans across electronic, ambient, noise, avant-garde, neoclassical, post-rock, folk, beats, and jazz elements:
Noise, Drone, Ambient, IDM, Tribal, Indie Folk, Ethnic, Avant-garde, Lowercase, New-Age, Trip-Hop, Minimalism, Techno, Neoclassical, Lo-fi Beat, Post-Rock, Post-Punk, Vaporwave, Synthwave, Retrowave, Math-Rock, Musique Concrète, Industrial, Dungeon Synth, and anything beautifully uncategorizable.
❌ What we do NOT sign:
Mainstream Pop, Rap, Trap, R&B, Country, Latin, commercial EDM, Phonk, Afrobeats, traditional Rock, Metal, or Punk.

We are always looking for authentic, atmospheric, and forward-thinking music. If your art focuses on texture, space, and emotional depth rather than commercial formulas, we want to hear it.
How to submit:
Prepare a private streaming link (SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or Google Drive). Please do not attach audio files directly to the email.
Include a short bio and a brief concept behind your release.

🤝 What We Offer Our Artists
We believe in fair partnerships and giving deep art a physical form:
Fair Royalties: 50% from all digital streaming platforms and music stores (working through Proton Distribution).
Physical Releases: Selected releases can be produced on physical media. Through Chitra Records, we partner with ElasticStage for Vinyl and CD, and walrus.fm for Cassettes and CDs. Both platforms produce merchandise on demand, so the label does not hold physical inventory or provide free copies to artists.
We focus on reinvesting profits from Bandcamp and physical sales into promoting our platform and artists, thereby increasing their online visibility.
