Slow Down is an ambient album created during the artists recovery from a severe spinal injury, written in a period marked by stillness, healing, and relearning how to move. Its spacious, delicate compositions serve as a reflection on intentional living and a reminder to move through life with gratitude.

In August 2025, I was injured. After several days of extreme pain, I was eventually taken by ambulance to the hospital. I had lost all feeling from the waist down and could no longer walk. That hospital visit resulted in emergency back surgery. After the operation, my neurosurgeon told me I had been just 1/8 of an inch (3 mm) away from permanent paralysis.

The days that followed were spent learning to walk again, resting, and recovering. One year later, as I write this, I'm grateful to say that I'm healthy, active, and back to normal.

The music on Slow Down was written and recorded during that season of recovery—a time when I could do little more than sit, heal, and slow down. These pieces are open, spacious, and layered with subtle details that reflect the stillness of that experience.

Slow Down is a reminder to myself to move through life with greater intention: to slow down, to listen, and to live with an abundance of gratitude.
